Pyelonephritis, nephritis, endometritis), infections of skin and wounds, peritonitis, strangles in horses, mastitis, meningitis (p.e. by streptococci), erysipelas in pigs, otitis in dogs and cats, panaritium, clostridial infections, tetanus, anthrax, leptospirosis, actinomycosis in cattle, actinobacillosis in horses, polyarthritis (navel ill) and septicaemia.

The drug also can be used in postoperative prevent
Indications
Do not administer to animals known to be hypersensitive to one of the components

Renal insufficiency

Do not use intravenously
Contraindications
Allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, urticaria, oedema) may occur in animals hypersensitive towards penicillins, cephalosporins and dihydrostreptomycin. Acute side-effects reported after intramuscular use of procaine penicillin G probably may be attributed to the procaine moiety of the antibiotic (nervous stimulation in horses; shivering, vomiting, pyrexia and abortion in pigs) or to inadvertent intravascular injection (embolic shock, procaine toxicity).

Massive doses of dihydrostreptomycin may cause neuromuscular block particularly after intra peritoneal or accidental I.V. injection

Prolonged administration of high doses may lead to deafness, vestibulotoxic

(ataxia, incoordination, nystagmus) and nephrotoxic signs

If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet
Adverse reactions
Horse, cattle, pig, sheep, goat, dog, cat. Target species
Horses, cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, dogs, cats.

By Intramuscular, subcutaneous or intraperitoneal injection. Shake before use. Dosage: 200 000 I.U. of penicillin G and 200 mg dihydrostreptomycin (base) or 1 ml of the suspension per 10 - 20 kg of body weight once daily

- Adult horse, cattle, pigs: 12.5 ml/200 kg b.w./day

- Calves, sheep, goats: 5 ml/50 kg b.w./day

- Piglets, dogs, cats: 0.5 ml/5 kg b.w./day

Duration of treatment: cattle: 2-4 days; pigs: 1-4 days, sheep, goats: 3-5 days

dogs 1-7 days; cats: 2-5 days
Administration & dosage
Shake well before use. Avoid mixing of the suspension with other injectables in the same syringe. Avoid direct contact with the drug. To avoid accidental intravascular injection of the suspension, it is advised to aspirate before administration. Advice on correct administration
Slaughter: 30 days - Milk delivery: 4 days. Withdrawal period
Treatment of allergic reactions: glucocorticosteroids and/or antihistaminics. Anaesthetics and muscle relaxants potentiate the neuromuscular blocking effects of dihydrostreptomycin. Treatment of neuromuscular block: calcium infuse, neostigmine. Warning
Store cool (2-8°C) and protected from light.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label. Shelf life: 2 years
